BTC RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Lives are transformed at BTC by the power of God that is stronger than the bondage of addiction.
Men and women come for help in various forms of crisis. They are accepted on the basis of their desire to change their lives. The rules are explained to them and they are immediately given an opportunity to accept Christ. The students enroll in special discipleship classes that provide Biblical tools for change. They are mentored by staff and follow a daily schedule of discipleship and opportunities to live out the Christian faith. The students progress further through character studies and social life skills.
BTC is a one-year residential program, for adult men and women 18 years and older, in which drug addicts, alcoholics, gang members, victims of abuse, dysfunctional families or any other life-controlled person can meet the Lord and learn to follow Him. Lives are transformed as they are captured by the supernatural love and power of God that is stronger than any drug that has held them in bondage. The overall objective is to initiate a total environment approach and change of values in the lives of the students in the program. BTC helps the total person in spiritual, emotional, physical, social and educational perspectives.
We offer complete GED classes to our Teen Challenge and BTCSM students and staff. These classes help prepare them for the GED exam.
To inquire about someone entering the residential program or see what other services BTC offers, call or email the TC Center for more information or to set up an interview. The interview serves two purposes. It allows the induction personnel to explain the program to the prospective student and provides an opportunity for the potential student to decide if BTC is a good fit for them.

HOW TC WORKS
We create a framework that challenges people to reach their fullest potential - spiritually ,socially, educationally and occupationally.
Our residential facilities often care for those who have lost hope that they can ever break out of these deadly and destructive cycles. Our one-year residential substance abuse recovery program has been designed to equip graduates with the skills needed to be active contributors to their family, faith and community.
Our program-specific curriculum guides students through basic life, work and social skills and is designed to transform hearts and lives from the inside out. The Teen Challenge curriculum is one of several reasons why Teen Challenge has been, and continues to be, so successful.

- Spiritually: Teen Challenge knows that the student's symptoms are indicative of deeper problems and conflicts; we understand that a new life in Christ will give them the power and ability to overcome these problems and live a more productive life.
- Emotionally: The healing of past abuses is necessary. Bible studies enhance mental growth and serve as a foundation for creating new lives.
- Physically: We care for the physical needs of the students. These needs--a drug-free environment, food, recreation, etc--are key factors to the student's success in the program.
- Socially: Students learn to work through relationship problems with their peers and with their families at home. They will learn to apply the character qualities they learn in the classroom to their everyday lives.
- Educationally: Teen Challenge has developed a curriculum specifically designed to teach students about God and help them develop the skills required for them to become successful Christians. Adolescent centers provide secondary education, while some adult centers offer GED programs
